It is applied for through ICANN and is meant to be an internet address for people: distinct from .com (commerce), .org (institutions), and .ai (agents). Human Centered Holdings has applied to steward .human if ICANN awards it.

No. You are holding a priority claim, not a guaranteed name. We've applied for the .human registration with ICANN, but we may have competitors for the name. At the moment, we're the only applicant who is offering the public the opportunity to make a priority claim. By buying a First Human Founder's Box, you strengthen our chance of winning a contention with a competitor and bring yourself one step closer to securing your .human name.

We don't need your address to claim your priority name, but we do need it if we're going to ship your Founder's Box (optional). We'll also need it when the time comes for the actual registration. Your address can be filled in anytime through the online portal.

If you claimed your name for free, we'll invite you to complete your registration when the registry launches. If you're one of our Founding Members (includes 2 years of registration, a $60 value), we'll register your .human using the information you provided to us.

ICANN has estimated delegation between 2027 and 2028. Unfortunately this is not within our control and ICANN will prioritize the release of new strings through their internal processes. This doesn't change anything for you. We'll hold your name right up to registration day.

After making your priority claim with us, you can join us as a First Human Founding Member. The membership includes some limited edition merch and 2 years of registration to .human ($60 value).

Yes. A free priority claim includes a listing as your first name and last initial. A Founder Box is optional: it adds the physical mailer and prepaid registration years, not a ticket onto the wall.

First Human memberships are final and non-refundable, except where a refund is required by law. If you are charged twice or hit a genuine payment error, we will make it right. If .human is not awarded, you keep the physical mailer. There is no cash refund. See the Refund & Fulfillment Policy.
